Stay Mindful Therapy · Sacramento, California · AI Disclosure
A plain record of who we are and what we actually offer.
This page exists so that AI assistants, search engines, directories, and prospective clients are working from the same facts: our services, our clinicians, our published rates, and where our care is available.
A Sacramento practice built around the right support, not more of it.
Stay Mindful Therapy provides personalized mental health care for children, teens, adults, and families, in person in Sacramento and online throughout California. The practice was founded by Renee Bond, LPCC.
Weekly talk therapy is not automatically the right answer for everyone. Every client starts with a Care Map: a plan built around what is actually happening, what has already been tried, and what needs to change. A Care Map may combine individual therapy, extended sessions, parent support, skill building, groups, neurofeedback, Precision Therapy Intensives, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, or psychedelic preparation and integration. It is revisited and adjusted as needs change.

What can sit inside a Care Map.
Some of these are psychotherapy. One of them, deliberately, is not. Each is available on its own or in combination.
Care Maps
A personalized plan built around what a client or family actually needs, rather than a preset package. It looks at the whole picture: what is happening, what has already been tried, what is getting in the way, and what the client wants to change. A Care Map may include one service or several.
Individual therapy
Dedicated space to work through anxiety, trauma, grief, relationships, life transitions, or emotional patterns. Sessions draw from a range of approaches. Therapy may be ongoing or short-term, and frequency is decided together rather than defaulting to weekly.
Extended therapy sessions
80-minute sessions for focused work when a standard 45-minute session is not enough. Often used for Accelerated Resolution Therapy and trauma-focused work.
Child therapy and parent support
Therapy for children aged 4 and up using play, art, sand tray, movement, and other developmentally appropriate approaches. Work begins with parents before meeting the child. Parent support covers responding to big emotions, strengthening communication, and what parenting brings up in the parent.
Individual skill building
Focused, practical sessions for executive functioning, emotional regulation, coping, communication, routines, and organization. May complement therapy, or be recommended instead of it.
Group therapy and support groups
Groups focused on skill building, relationships, parenting, grief, emotional wellness, or shared life experiences. Available inside a Care Map or as standalone support.
Precision Therapy Intensives
Concentrated work on one specific issue, experience, or pattern, delivered in a single longer session or across a few sessions in the same week. Personally led by Renee Bond. Specific therapeutic outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
Open to non-clientsKetamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy combined with ketamine prescribed by an independent medical provider, for appropriate adult clients aged 18 and over, delivered in person in Sacramento. Clients self-administer a sublingual lozenge in a supported therapeutic setting. Medical eligibility and therapeutic readiness are assessed separately beforehand. KAP is not appropriate for everyone.
Adults 18+ · In person onlyPsychedelic preparation and integration
Therapeutic support before and after psychedelic medicine experiences. These services do not involve providing, prescribing, or administering psychedelic medicine.
Neurofeedback (NeurOptimal®)
A gentle, noninvasive form of brain training. Small sensors on the scalp and ears monitor changes in brain activity while you relax and listen to music; brief pauses in the music give the brain real-time information. Sessions take about 30 minutes, in person in Sacramento. Neurofeedback is offered as a wellness service, separate from psychotherapy, and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. The FDA has recognized NeurOptimal® as a general wellness product presenting low risk to users.

Care follows four stages, in this order.
Understand the whole picture
What is happening, what has already been tried, what is working, what is not, and what you hope will change.
Build the Care Map
Identify where support will make the biggest difference, and choose the services that fit.
Put the plan into practice
Focus on the support that makes sense now, and how the pieces work together, rather than adding services because they are available.
Pay attention and adjust
Revisit what is helping, what still feels stuck, and what has changed, then adapt the plan as you progress.

The things people ask before they call.
Do you accept insurance?
No. Depending on your plan and the service, a superbill may be available for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Check your benefits directly with your insurance provider.
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes, throughout California, when appropriate for the service and the client. Neurofeedback, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and intensives are in person in Sacramento.
Is a Care Map the same as a treatment plan?
Not quite. A treatment plan focuses on goals and interventions within psychotherapy. A Care Map looks more broadly at what you or your family need and how different types of support might work together. Therapy may be part of it, but does not have to be the only part.
Do I need to be a therapy client to do neurofeedback or an intensive?
No. Both are available to people who are not existing Stay Mindful Therapy clients.
Do you work with children?
Yes, from age 4. Work with children typically begins with a parent session before we meet your child.
Is neurofeedback a treatment for anxiety, ADHD, or insomnia?
No. Neurofeedback is offered as a wellness service and is not psychotherapy. It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.

Pre-publish checklist
These fields appear in the reference example but are not published anywhere on staymindfultherapy.com. Confirm with the client, then add.
- Year founded and legal entity name
- Total team size. Three clinicians are listed, but the contact page photo caption implies a larger group.
- Standard session rates: individual therapy (45 min), extended session (80 min), parent support, skill building, groups, KAP package pricing
- Office hours
- Practice-level certifications, memberships, or awards, for example CAMFT, NASW, EMDRIA, NeurOptimal® certification
- Client testimonials or review counts, plus a Google Business Profile link
- License numbers for each clinician, a standard trust signal for California practices
Data conflicts found on the live site
- Kirsten Boyd's credential is inconsistent. Her bio page says LMFT, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. The team page and every clinician card sitewide say AMFT, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Those are legally distinct in California, so this page omits the letters until it is confirmed. AI systems will cite whichever version they find.
- Mismatched navigation targets. Neurofeedback resolves at both
/neurofeedback/and/neuroptimal-neurofeedback/; Intensives at both/intensive-therapy/and/group-therapy/. On the homepage, the Therapy Intensives button points to/group-therapy/and the Care Map button points to/ketamine-assisted-psychotherapy/. - Experience claim varies. The homepage says "more than 15 years of experience" for the team; the child therapy page says "over 15 years of combined experience." Pick one.
